Fire breaks out at Sharjah yard used to keep recycled tyres
No casualties reported, but damages are estimated to be huge

Sharjah: A fire broke out at a yard used to store tyres in Al
Humriyah Free Zone 2 in Sharjah early Monday, causing huge damages.
No casualties were reported. Police investigations are on and the cause of the fire is not known, said officials.
Lieutenant-Colonel
Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director-General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said
the fire broke out in a land used to store and recycled tyres.
Firefighters
from Sharjah Civil Defence, headquarter, Samnan, Moeilah and Al
Humriyah, battled the flames for several hours. The fire broke out at
around 3.37am and fire team reached the site at 3.44 am.
Residents
have reported seeing thick black plumes of smoke still billowing from
the gutted site on Monday morning. The cooling operation was still going
on, officials said.
