Emirati biker killed in car crash

The fatal accident occurred on Thursday night in Umm Al Quwain along Mohammad Bin Zayed Road
Umm Al Quwain: An Emirati man was killed in a horrific traffic accident after his motorbike crashed into a heavy truck.
The accident occurred on Thursday night, according to Umm Al Quwain Police, along Mohammad Bin Zayed highway, as he drove from Sharjah.
The victim was reported to have been in his 30s, and identifies as A.R.B.
According to police, the fatal accident occurred as the biker did not leave sufficient distance while driving on the road, in addition to speeding, when he lost control of his vehicle.
Umm Al Quwain Police said that when the operations room received notification about the accident involving two vehicles, an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident.
Upon arrival, paramedics, police and a rescue team found that the motorbike had crashed into the rear of the trailer, leaving the victim with severe head injuries.  
According to police, the victim died on the spot due to the injuries on his face and head, as well as to his upper torso.
The Asian motorist driving the heavy truck did not sustain any injuries as a result of the accident, said police.
